If you do the search I recommended you can study them at your leisure, find siblings that married, deaths  etc.

Much better than just having a Link posted for one particular Marriage...

You can also search census for any   Born Tipperary  which will get any elsewhere in Ireland

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/  1911 and 1901

click on  More Search options and put in  Surname and  Tipperary

I’ve been searching but been hitting road blocks. Every now and again it’s great to get someone’s help that nudges me in the right direction. Before I started this I knew nothing of my grandmothers family. Now I’ve gone back 3 generations before her

Like for all of us  records run out eventually....   ;D

If I remember correctly yours were C of I, registers of which are "in the pipeline" to be put online..

Also, Civil Reg don't have Images for the years you need  these are "in the pipeline" to be put online..

So you haven't hit a brickwall, just a blocked pipeline!   ;D

Now that you know How to Search, you'll be able to Search as and when they get updated.

Yeah the further I go back on both sides there seems to be CofI - mostly on the Dyer side. For the life of me though I cannot find my Great Grandfather James in either Birth or Death records - only Marriage.

Yeah I have tried just his name, tried Ireland and England as well. 1901 census says he and his brother John were born in England but I have found a birth record in Ireland for John...so doesnt make any sense. The key piece of information is that his father John was a shoemaker.

Yes - John Married Roseanne Dyer in 1973. They had a Son James who was born abt 1875 and John...although I found a record for John from 1875 and a Henry born in 1873 to John Dyer a shoemaker in Ballingarry and his wife Rose

Why don't you go to the old barracks and ask Dyer??   ;D

Location: Timoney - Area around old barracks
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Years following 1860
Further Comments: A policeman named Dyer once swore to protect the area 'dead or alive'. After his death in 1860, locals reported his ghost carrying out his promise.
