I looked up the death on the subscription site I use and the entry reads

William Griffin Officer in the Excise was buried February 18th

The image was taken from an LDS film which said Parish Register, rather than Bishop's Transcript.

In the image you have it looks like Ketham but I cannot find anywhere in Northants with that name. Anyway I thought you might want the info re his occupation.

Just had a look on the freeReg site and there are two entries for the burial of Wiiliam Griffin in Worstead.

The version I gave you is from the Parish Register and the version you have is from the Archdeacon's Transcripts. Free Reg have transcribed the place as Kelham in Northamptonshire but the only Kelham I can find is in Nottinghamshire.

As Emelton says, N.tham is probably short for Nottinghamshire.

William Gryffen
Baptism: 15 Aug 1710, Kelham, Nottinghamshire, son of Robert Gryffen

Robert Griffin, of Kelham, married Elizabeth Bloomer on 5th May 1696 in St. Mary, Nottingham .
