Could anyone please help me with a look up in the 1891 Census? I am looking for the Hornagold / Hornigold / Honeygold family:
Frederick b 1848 Norwich, Norfolk, England
In 1881 he is in the 1st Battalion 5th Grenadiers Cambridge Brks Portsmouth, Hampshire.
In 1901 he has a wife Margaret and children that were born in Ireland.
Any help would be very gratefully recieved

Hi,
The 1891 census of Ireland does not survive. It was destroyed I believe during or just before the civil war. Try looking for the birth entries of the children in the indexes. These are available in the Dublin GRO or on film at your local family history centre.

Happy New Year Jackie and Kate.
Kate could you make a few suggestion as to where Jackie could start looking for the missing James, Buskell and Edmond Hornigold mentioned in the Help & Advice? (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=260414.msg1597727#msg1597727) thread? There's no sign of James in Griffiths Valuation of Galway in 1855.

I'd check the birth and marriage indexes between 1891 and 1901, available at your local family history centre.
This post though is two years old - she may have found them already or given up the search!

Jackie's local LDS library in England may not have the Irish birth indexes in stock.
