Title: Mystery of Winifred LLOYD (mn JONES) of Dowlais, later Aberavon/Port Talbot

Drawing a complete blank on Winifred Jones (B abt 1902 - probably Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil), married Elvet Lloyd (also of Dowlais) in January 1931. Died Port Talbot abt March 1931. 

Grateful for any help!

Are you sure that she died in 1931? Or was it early in 1939, age 37?

Free index to 1939 Register has, in Port Talbot
Elvet Lloyd, born 1901
living with Kate W Lloyd (later Ridd) born 1932
and Agnes Jones, born 1871

If this is the right family, could Agnes Jones have been the mother of Winifred?
1901 has Winifred Jones, age 7 weeks, born Dowlais, daughter of David and Agnes

Well there are rather a lot aren’t there!

However I don’t see any Merthyr Tidfyl births 1902. There are 4 1901.
However in 1911 I can only see this family in Dowlais,

However, I think you need to get the marriage certificate to check out her father, and with any luck someone recognisable was a witness.

Kate W should perhaps be Kate D

That is indeed the family I have flagged up in 1901.
The marriage certificate would of course be necessary.
