Hello,
My great-grandfather Thomas Rees died on 15 July 1947 in Lllanhilleth.
I think he owned his house - 11a High St, Llanhilleth.
2 of his daughters and his wife had already died.
His son William Rees, was with him at his death.
He was outlived by his 2 daughters - Hannah and Myfanwy - and his son William.
Hannah Jane Rees (Jones/??) was my grand-mother, and I'm trying to find out her last name and trace her. Apparently she re-married, having been widowed in 1931 when her husband, Stanley James Jones, died.
I'm hoping that she might be named in her father's Obituary or Probate?
Any ideas how to find either of those from Lllanhilleth in 1947?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Shane

Have you checked the probate index to see if he left a will

There is a separate post for this query

Hi Rosie,
Yes I have and nothing comes up. :(
Where else could I look?
Or does anyone have any ideas how I could find an Obituary for Llanhilleth in 1947?
Cheers
Shane

Welsh newspapers website would be the place to look for an obituary, was there one for Maria when she died.
