A 57yr old died 1902 Lerwick. No birth or death in Renfrew for that name. 2 marriages listed as well

He is not alive and if I had any info I would tell you . We have looked in Scotland’s people .

Unfortunately - posting just a name without any birthyear or parents details gives us nothing to work on.
There is more than one person with this name but not in Renfrew so there is no way of determining which one you are researching?
If you have no information other than his name - how do you know he is not alive?

His grand daughter should know her grandmothers name and maiden name. Did her grandparents marry and live in Scotland?
Without giving any christian names - what year was her father/mother born?
Are her parents still alive - if so - they should have info re her grandfather.
