Just had an update and all my card games and Mahjong games have vanished---why oh why :-[
-
Still currently on 1803, what version are you on?
My wife running 1809, no problems there.
-
I have not the faintest clue!! ::)
Ok just checked 1809
-
Are they not on your start menu/pop up?

No idea what version of Windows 10 I've been updated to but just checked and I can't see them in start-up menu either.
-
Are they listed when you click on Windows Icon (botton left)?
Maybe just not Pinned to Start...
-
If so...right click Icon and Pin it
-
They are not pinned or tucked anywhere. When I do a search it tells me the file is empty and then opens up Google Chrome so I can buy them! They were all neatly in the windows start menu.
-
I still use the old Windows 7 games.
You can download the installer from https://winaero.com/blog/get-windows-7-games-for-windows-10/
I know this to be a clean version, and it works in the latest Win10.
Keep hold of the installer though, because when the next version of Windows gets pushed at you in a couple of months, they will disappear again - files get placed in C:\WINDOWS (as they did in Win7), and Microsoft's installer doesn't keep them for you. You have to head to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, uninstall the remnants, then run the installer again to put them back. It keeps your high scores though.

To find out which version of windows installed - Click onto windows icon on tool bar, look for the 'cogwheel' then click on before selecting 'update and security.
Below windows update check look for OS Build Info, there is all the Windows information.

Did you do a back up before you updated to windows 10 as you may find the files there.

I have not updated to Windows 10. I have a newish computer and it came installed. It was an update from Windows that has messed things up.

Thankyou Andrew that has worked well and I am now up and running. So annoying of them though WHY ?

It was the old windows games we had, my daughter put them on for us, and they played very well. When I told daughter what had happened she said "Oh that's Windows 10 for you!" Thank yo for the link I will have a go.
-
ok here we go again....another update and all the games gone. Only when I click on the link given by Andrew I just get a page telling me to update my 16 drivers and asking me to register why do they need updating when windows has supposedly done this and upset my whole system. I cannot download these drivers it just freezes my screen.
For goodness sakes I just want the original card games, that were free.
Ok Sorted it. I went into my downloaded files and it was sitting there so just opened up the file and away I went

The games are still there, but not as prominent. After all, they don't make much cash from them.
If you follow their link under "1. Get the ZIP archive", that takes you to a page mostly filled with ads.
It does, however, have a line saying "Download link: Click here to download the file". That's the one you need.
-
Thank you Andrew. I did manage to find the old file in my downloads folder and it worked perfectly.
-
It worked for me too! Thank you very much Andrew. You solved my problem :)
