I've just received my DNA results and as expected 94.8% British but 5.2% Asia (Northwest Caucasus) which was a total surprise. How accurate is 5.2 %? I have found via documentation two Irish family lines and the DNA results stated 7.1% Irish. I'm not sure how I could follow up on this Northwest Caucasus line? Any ideas? ;D

Which company did you test with?

Ethnicity results from DNA tests are not accurate. You could test with three different companies and get three very different results. These tests do NOT test for your ethnicity what they test is what you have in common with their control groups. As different companies have different control groups that should tell you that they results are only a bit of fun and nothing to lose any sleep over. There have been countless threads on this and if you look through the previous threads you will be able to see what others have said in the past.
Previous thread I started in the same subject

I am sure others will also tell you but ethnicity estimates are really only a bit of fun and are only as good as the database of the company you have tested with. Biggest is Ancestry so likely to be more accurate as more to compare with but as to how accurate well ??
Try uploading your raw data to other sites too like gedmatch.
