Hi,
Does anyone know how far behind Ancestry are with providing DNA results at the moment. My mother's results were estimated due on 17 February, but no results yet. Ancestry (via Facebook messaging) won't tell me how far they are behind. I know they are delayed as this is part of the message on the Order in Progress page: "Due to high demand, our lab is a little behind schedule."
Thank you.

A friend has on their account 'due by 23rd March' but perhaps this is wishful thinking on Ancestry's part. Their sample was received at the lab about the end of Feb and the confirmation email said 6-8 weeks so 23rd March might be a bit ambitious.

After a few days with no new matches, I've had a batch today so maybe the database has been overloaded with the new beta system :-\

Timing was pretty variable after the Christmas rush. I posted a kit 4th of January and did not get the results until mid-March. A friend posted hers on the same day and got results over a month earlier than mine.

I posted mine off 4th march and got results yesterday regards westlass

I asked them about this and they said the kits go off in batches to the US and get tested in batches. I suppose, then, the speed with which you get your results depends on whether you're first or last in the batches. My friend got results back in under four weeks so must have been lucky timing. They haven't had any new matches since then, though, so perhaps another batch of results is imminent.

The fastest I have had was last summer at just under 3 weeks.

My dads took 7 weeks after posting the sample on 4th jan this year. Much quicker than I was expecting.
I also haven’t had many new cousin matches on there in the past week or two, whereas through Jan and Feb I was getting a steady 1/2 a day.
