Does anyone know anything about Ona Norkevicz marrying Peter Brusokas or a name similar (originally from Suvalki) in England or Scotland. Thank you
Tavy
-
Approximately when, please?
-
approx 1900, Ona's surname could have a variety of spellings ie Norkus, Nerkewczute.
-
Have you got them on any census?
-
She is on a tree on Ancestry - have you seen it?
-

Thank you, I would imagine the children I am looking for were born in Bellshill area from 1901 to 1910. Their surname could be anything but Brusokas is close.
I have a Joseph but none others.
Thanks and more help is needed. It appears Peter Brusokas (father) went back to US in 1910, he may have become a sailor and Ona then married a MR Savage.
-
Have you looked for the Ona/Savage marriage on scotlandspeople?
I found lots of Bruzgulus children, unfortunately they went on after 1910.
-
There are 8 Brusokas in Bellshill from 1901 to 1916, including an Ona .....
look on scotlandspeople
-
thank you very much, this has been a great help. A great forum and helpful people,
-
If you search for any 'Brus' living in Bellshill in 1911 census on scotlandspeople, you should be able to see 2 families.
-
Many Lithuanians in the Bellshill area returned home at the outbreak of the Great War to fight for the Tsar!
