Title: Youngest person on a census return?
Post by: mareanna on Friday 01 March 19 17:28 GMT (UK)
This enumerator was accurate enough to note that the baby was only four hours old

Sad to report though that William Colin Price died soon after - his birth registered in Q2 and death in Q3 of 1901  :(

I seem to vaguely remember seeing a child who was one hour old on the census record.  However it was some considerable while ago and I didn't make any note of it so can't back that up with proof.

Sadly so many infants didn't get to their first birthday.  The medical knowledge we have today just wasn't available then.

In 1911 the Ross family had twin baby girls who had just arrived.....
Mary Ross 1 hour and Jane Ross 50 minutes........

Can be found in Bolton Lancashire.
