Hi,

Have you found Andrew on the 1841? If so does it list a female that could be his wife?

Did Andrew have any children by his first wife?

Would this be Andrew on the 1851? -

Andrew Robson   44
Margaret Robson   32
Margery Robson   10
M Dorothy Robson   3
James Robson   1
HO107 Piece 2412 Folio 221 Page 1

If it's the correct family then Margery would be from Andrew's first marriage. Margery's birth record show her mother's maiden name as Nicholson.

Need to find a marriage for Andrew to a ? Nicholson.

Not sure why the post of a marriage was deleted so I've re-posted it as this marriage could be the correct one -

Andrew Robson
12 Dec 1835, Christ Church, Tynemouth
Spouse - Margaret Nicholson

Here are the children I have found.  Since the marriage cert says he and Margaret were married in 1846, Ann and Margery are probably from a prior marriage.
Ann 1837, Margery 1841, Mary Dorothy 1848 1928, James 1850 1862 (Killed in Hartley mine disaster), Margaret 1851 1931, June 1853 1855, Isaac 1857 1931. I have come across the Nicholson last name but can't reconcile it.

Quite odd as:-

Ann Robson 25th February 1837 Earsdon Father Andrew Father Mary Nicholson Robson
So is 1841 census a different family?

EDIT An Ann Robson 14 b Earsdon is a Servant with a Bell family in Tynemouth

Might the Andrew who married at Christ Church be a different one from the one from Hartley?

The 1846 marriage to Margaret Stephenson shows he signed with his mark.  He was a widower and a Pitman and the son of James Robson - Seaman.

I can't find another marriage for an Andrew Robson going right back to 1820 at this (St Alban) Church.

St Alban, Earsdon
Entry 2029
Burial of 'Margaret Robson late Nicholson of Hartley, wife of Andrew Robson, Pitman
Age 30 years
Died 12
Buried 14'

By this I take it that she died on the 12 August 1843.   I can't find a burial for Andrew at Earsdon.
