Trying to decide if these two photos are of the same couple, or if they are father and son.
Photos of older couple Utrick (Born 1889) & Henrietta (Born 1880) Dickinson were taken in Sydney, Australia.
The photo of the younger couple could they be Hobart's parent, Charles (Born 1850) & Tamar (Born 1850) Dickinson. Photo possibly taken in New Zealand or Australia.
Any help would be much appreciated

I think the younger couple are too young to have been born in 1850.
That is an Edwardian photo, and they don't look 50+ do they.
Are they old enough to have been born in 1889? That would make them late 15-20 years old at the time of that photo - I think.
Your naming of the photos suggests you know the identities and that they aren't the same people. :-\

Date wise first photo 1912 and second photo 1940s so could be the same people.

Not sure :-\ :-\ - I think there is more than 30-35 years difference in ages of two couples - if your estimations are correct.
I think younger couple is a little earlier than 1912.

If you roughly taking the birthday's of uttrick of 1889 and henrietta of 1880 then in the first photo of around 1912 he would be 23 and she would be 32. In a photo of say 1946 then he would be around 56 and she would be 62

I would date the first photo around 1908-1912 and the second photo to be 1940s so it could be the same couple, born who were born in the 1880s. The lady looks older than the gent in both photos.

I agree with the dates ( late Edwardian and 1940s) and there certainly is a likeness between the people in the photographs.

Hi Footprint,
Have just seen the photos that you posted, they are great. Can you tell me where you fit into the Dickinson family as my sister in law is a descendant from the people in your photos?.
Regards,
Rosjan.
