Could someone please give me the 1861 census info for John Weatherill (Wetherill) born 1859 Myton. I have him in 1871 as farm servant at Myton, In 1881 boarding with Bessie Ripley. In 1891 at Hunslet married to Elizabeth and in 1901 at Hunslet married to Dinah. Can't find him in 1861 on familysearch to work out who his parents were. Thanks

Hi,
On Ancestry there is a John Wetherill age 2 Living with his grandparents Myton on Swale, George b1794 Ripon, and Hannah b1797. There is also a grand daughter Emma age 12 living with them.
It's a bad scan of the census and I can't read where Hannah was born but all the children were born in Myton on Swale.
Perhaps one of George's daughters, Jane age 25 and Martha age 20, was the mother of John. A look at Parish Records may solve your problem if this is the John you are looking for.

ADDING
I notice the grandmother Hannah in on the 1871 census on the same page as 13 year old John and living just a few doors away.
She is widowed.

Bit of a longshot here, but this is a possible marriage for Martha WETHERILL
Marriages Jun 1867
BEAN John
HALL George
HUTCHINSON Mary
WEATHERILL Martha '

George HALL is on the same farm property as young John WETHERILL in 1871.
So, maybe the same man as married above

Thanks to all for the info. Extremely helpful as I do have a George & Hannah but didn't have 1861 census for them either.
