looking for info as to where the ohms family came from, and also the names of William and Wilhelmina's parents
1. Albert Ohms was born 14 JUN 1849 in CAN, and died 8 APR 1936 in Union Co., OR. He was the son of 2. William Ohms and 3. Minnie Wilhelmina. He married Margaret Barth , Maggie 3 AUG 1873 in Winneshick Co., IA, daughter of Valentine Barth and Juliana Waeckerly. She was born 6 FEB 1856 in IA, and died 7 MAR 1929 in Union Co., OR.

3. Minnie Wilhelmina was born MAY 1814 in GER, and died 19 DEC 1901 in Elgin, Union Co., OR. She was buried in Elgin Cemetery, Union Co., OR.
Children of Minnie Wilhelmina and William Ohms are:i. August Ohms was born 1836.
ii. Otto Ohms was born OCT 1842 in Prussia/GER. He married Louisa Becker. She was born MAY 1850 in IL.

iv. Amelia Ohms was born AUG 1855 in CAN. She married George Blais ABT 1885.

Could be the parents were married in Prussia/Germany and may be difficult to trace further back.
Haven't found an obituary for William Ohms :-\ Hopefully someone else might.

hi ya what could have happened too if whatever records there were for the Ohms family could have been destroyed during ww2

coz didn't they blow up a lot of churches and buildings during that time in Germany
