Hi, Can someone advise me if the burial records for Ipswich General Cemetery are available to Queenslanders (or Australians generally) via accessible databases/print productions? I'm trying to find out if ancestors John Down (died 1862) and his remarried widow Naomi Jeffcoat (died 1888) have headstones/burial locations? I'm finding the searching process rather convoluted, compared to many others I've done. I can't visit the site personally, so am hoping a local may be able to solve my query.
Thank you, Meredith.

Hi Meredith,
I know that the State Library of Queensland hold a variety of burial records but I can't recall if they hold those for Ipswich.
You could give them a try with the attached form and see if they can help.

The Queensland Family History Society Inc hold the Ipswich burial records I'm pretty sure so they might be able to assist, there may or may not be a fee, I don't know.
