I have the following in a notebook of mine from the 1990s: "6-Feb-1762 John Caux of Righouse aged 91". That was a note about an entry in the Dean burial register but I have doubts about that impressive age of 91. It would be much appreciated if somebody could check the details for me. I'm now a long way from Carlisle.
Thanks,
Paul

I'll check the records when I'm next in the archives.

Thank you very much

Have checked the record and it does say 91.
There must have been something in the water in Dean because there were quite a lot burials for people in their 80's and 90's, very long lived village!!

Many thanks for checking that for me, I really didn't expect you to confirm John's age being 91. I've been doubting it for such a long time.
