Just started here....looking for any Wedlocks out there ?

The surname interests reveals three people researching this surname.  You can check for yourself by scrolling down to the bottom of the page to the Your Tools heading.  Second one down is Surname Interests.  Click on that and then click on quick search.  Look for the relevant letter section and find the name from there.

Hey there!
As I stated earlier  as being new,  having trouble navigating  responding  to you  all..
Nevertheless I  have been researching my  family (wedlock ) for many years now.
I'm stumped at my grgr grandparents Richard and Jane (Irwin), who were married in Cootehill   Cavan 1858...any information prior to this , I do not know.  I've  contacted a M Wedlock that lives there and was very helpful..Richard and Jane arrived in Canada in 1860 with my great grandfather William  and settled in Keene  Ontario... anyone who has information  ,I greatly appreciate it..thanks

Richards father was James and Janes father was Samuel.

Are  you related? Do you know Jane's mother maiden name  or Richards mother's name /maiden?..

Hi LewieB, No I'm not related, found their names on marriage record but I can't find the marriages of James and Samuel.

Richard Wedlock m Jane Irwin 1 Jun 1858 Cootehill, Cavan, Ireland
Father's Names:   James Wedlock & Samuel Irwin

Thank for the  information,  I  figured if I follow the female line, I would be on the right  family line.. to confirm what I have,  which is,  James also married a  Jane, her Last name  is Bushell..unfortunately  everyone  used the same  first names,  and can be very confusing. That's why I'm stuck  I don't know for sure I have the right people,

Thanks to Girl guide for posting the instructions about surname interests ..id completely forgotten it and have been looking for some people on it and adding 3 searches of my own .
I usually put names and places into the search box on this page and see if anyone has posted topics  about my families ....you cant do that with.the WEDLOCK  because it will throw up any topic with "out of Wedlock " in it .
