Title: Requesting help with an Irish Baptism record
Post by: Divingduck on Saturday 26 January 19 07:45 GMT (UK)
Hi all,
Is there anyone that can assist with deciphering a name for me?
My GGG Grandparents James Barry and Eliza Gregory had this child baptized in 1835.
I can't for the life of me work out what the name is.

Suggestions?

Here it is in context to compare with other letter formations in the records.

It doesn’t look like the other ‘N’ or ‘M’ and looks to end as ‘ry’.

Is it Henary?

Looking at the image suggested by hallmark - go to the bottom of the page and there is another entry with the forename Henary.

That one certainly is readable as Henary so I am inclined to go with you BB.

Do we have an example of a capital "R" in this person's hand?

Mind you, "Rinary" doesn't sound  likely...  :P

Is it definitely a boy?

Not quite convinced that the two images are written by the same person  :-\
