I am trying to find further information on Laurence Farrell (born about 1871) In Moneytucker, Enniscorthy and Mary Kavanaugh - my great grandparents. I cannot find a record of their marriage but they appear on the 1901 and 1911 census in Raheen, Clonroche, Wexford. I would also like to find out about their parents and where Mary was born. I would be grateful for any help.

Johanna's birth was registered in Wexford

If this is the family in 1901

Where does Mary aged 12 fit in?
-
I think Mary aged 12 must be a child from a previous marriage. There is a Birth record for a Mary of around the right age - father Laurence Farrell and Mother Anne Daley
-
I was looking at that one, couldn't see a death for that Mary, which wouldn't be unusual.
Any idea why Johanna was registered in Wexford, could Mary Kavanagh be from the Wexford rather than Enniscorthy area.

something unusual about the 1901 census they have a daughter age 12 Mary
yet in June 1901 they have another daughter they also name Mary Anne

1911 age 9

so is 12 yr old Mary a daughter of Mary Kavanagh from a previous marriage or illegitimate ?
A Mary Kavanagh father unknown age 21 married James Walsh both from Ballybuckley 1909

The Mary Farrell born 1888 to Laurence Farrell and Anne Daly seems to have died in 1894.

The address given on the birth register for Johanna is Glynn which would be Wexford District. When Katie's birth is registered they are living in Raheen which is Enniscorthy District. Laurence was farm labourer so possibly moved around quite a bit

If dathai's idea is correct than Laurence could have met Mary when he was living in Wexford area, in that case the marriage would be there.
Ideas are all great but without finding the marriage nothing can be proved, I've tried all sorts of searches but I can't find it.
