Hi,
Looking for 1901 whereabouts and household of Albert ANSELL b. 1848 Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
Occupation in 1881 Census was "Lighterman." In 1881 he was living in Grays Thurrock, Essex.
Wife: Sarah (b. 1847, Grays Thurrock, Essex)
Any information much appreciated.

Sue,
Thanks so much!
Great to know where they were (and that someone in the family stayed in England). Now I have more trails to follow!

Hi, Just seen this post .
Albert is my great Great Grandfather and the details you have for 1901 on the Cheviot are correct, as are the details for his family in Grays.
They lived at 102 Argent St Grays till both Albert and Sarah died. Albert James was their son.
Hope this helps, albeit 5 yrs after.
