Where did you see this place name and what was the date of the document?

Looks like Leekshead.

Leek is in Staffordshire and looking at the area I found a Leekbrook area and a farm called Leek Edge. I'm inclined to believe it may be an area in or near Leek and Leekshead is no longer used or was just a locally used reference.

Hi Maggie May
Could be Lickshead, near Alton, Staffordshire where my Critchlow family come from. What is the name of the family you are researching there?
Best wishes
Sue

Hi Suelesterry,
well Alton is where quite a few of my family came from
I was checking on a Samuel Beardmore b 1754 and under his work was the place Leekshead.
Have done all the tree for this family but this place mentioned never heard of it and wanted to know where it was.
cheers
