I cannot for the life of me find the birth of my 4th great grandmother Sophia Hester Butler. She married William Sly a Baker in 1816, at Southwark St George, Surrey, her wedding banns say "of this parish". She had 5 kids that I know of, all in the Southwark area. She died 15th August 1849 at Roupell Street.
All sources I have for her indicate a birth year of 1789.
Can anyone help?

Sophia was a widow when she married in 1816, so she was unlikely to have been born a Butler.

She was not born in Surrey, according to the 1841 census.

Possibility?
Sophia Hester Sear
bap 8 March 1807, St James's Duke Place, London
parents Joseph + Elizabeth

Transcribed as Seat on ancestry.
Was she born in 1790 as per other index record?

Then a marriage in 1812 at All Hallows Lombard Street
Joseph Butler + Sophia Seare

My subscription on ancestry has run out, I have that record but can no longer check it. Are you able to let me know where it says she is born?

Both are of the parish when they married, both single.
Witness Thomas Matthews (he signs most entries) and Elizabeth Craner/Cramer
#460 in register.

1841 census does not give a place of birth, it only states whether they were born in the county they are living in at the time
