Title: 1841/1851 look up please - Lewis - Welshpool

Census 1841 & 1851
I would be very grateful if someone would look up Lewis Lewis born about 1828 in Welshpool to Lewis Lewis & Ann. They also have a son Richard born 1839 in Welshpool. Thankyou so much.

Hi Gemsgirl

I have had a look at 1851 and cannot find either Lewis (age 23ish) or Richard (age12ish).  Of the ones that are listed, they are the wrong age and none are born in Welshpool.

Do you have years of birth/ages for Lewis (senior) and Ann?  I can look them up for you.

I don't have the 1841 census, and I think there are only a couple of RC members who have it, but without an index so look ups would be difficult.

Thank you so much for your time and interest.
Lewis Lewis I think possibly married married Ann Pugh  in 1828 in Newtown so possibly both were born about 1805ish. Sorry I don't know any further details.

I have this family living at Haycock's Building, Welshpool in the 1841 census:

Lewis Lewis (40ish)  Machine maker
Ann Lewis  (35ish)
Lewis Lewis (13)
Ann Lewis (11)
Thomas Lewis (9)
John Lewis (5)
Richard Lewis (2)
Mary Lewis (4m)

In 1851, they have moved to Commercial Road, Llanllwchaiarn, Newtown:
Lewis Lewis (53) Wheelwright & Machine Maker Master  b. Shrewsbury
Ann Lewis (48)  Wife,  b. Berriew, Montg.
Richard Lewis (12)  Son,  b. Welshpool
Mary Lewis  (10)  Daughter, b. Welshpool

Lewis Lewis (Junior), now aged 23, and also a Machine Maker, is an Unmarried Lodger at Greenfield St., Greenfield Row, Holywell, Flintshire.
