Title: Mobile Phone-"Private Number".

This last day or two I'm becoming increasingly annoyed at Calls on my Mobile Phone from someone who only shows as "Private Number",no actual number details are given.

Of course the ordinary "Block Number" option is there for any number that reveals itself but not for one like this?

There are apps available which will not only block individual numbers, but also callers who have withheld their number. You can also block calls from anyone not in your Contacts.

However, we have found that typically hospitals and doctors' surgeries when calling us withold their numbers, presumably because they do not want their direct line numbers made known to all and sundry, so there are drawbacks to using such things.

With any phone, mobile or landline, it is usually possible to ensure that nobody sees your number when they call someone! ::)

My (soon-to-be-ex) wife and her family do this with all their phones.

Think it's something to do with the Service Provider?

Maybe change your Voicemail Message to say something like:
"If your number is private I won't be ringing you back!" ;D ;D
