Hi.
Daniel Etheridge and Mary Jane Steer were married on the 11th Jan 1879 in Billingshurst. I have details of Daniel's parents but was wondering if anyone here new the parent's names of Mary Jane? She was born c 1860 but there are several Mary Jane Steers born in the Sussex area round about that time.

The marriage is on FreeReg. Mary Jane's father was William Steer, a Labourer and the Witnesses were William and Harriet Steer.
FreeReg has the baptism of Mary Jane Steer 1862 in Billinghurst, parents William, a Labourer, and Zillah. The same couple also had a son William in 1856 and a daughter Harriet in 1866.

Looks like Zillah's maiden name was Skinner, possibly the Priscilla Skinner who married William Steer in Pulborough on 5 May 1855
