I'm trying to work out who Edward Carvell might be. He witnesses the will of John Reynolds of Hoggeston (brother of Benjamin the Rector) and appears again in the will of John's niece, Fanny, who asks for him to be sent a £10 note the Christmas after her death.
We're talking about 1789 for John's will, 1815 for Fanny's.
I'd be very grateful for any help.

Dear Steve,
Many thanks. I wonder if he will turn up anywhere else in Bucks. Perhaps he is the Edward Carvell of Hulcote, Beds.
Charles
Two Reynolds girls married Deverell and Anstee, which opens up a great deal of interest. I believe neither had any children.

I assume you have these, but just in case. ;)
There is a Thomas Carvell marrying a Ann Cosier in Long Marston in 1736, (from the Bucks Bonds List).
Does Long Marston ring any bells.?
