Although not related, I do have a special interest in this family, who married into the BUCHAN family, some of whom then married into the BLACKs. sadly not the same as my family as I have yet to find any links.
William Roseburgh born at STOW in1865, married Robina Bell Dorrance Butler in Galashiels in 1886, he was a hairdresser to trade and had the following children
John 1887 in Dumfries ; Robert Blair Butler in 1888 in Galashiels ; James 1891 in Selkirk
Mary Butler in 1891 who married a Torrance Buchan ; William in 1894 in Galashiels ; George 1895
Maggie 1897 and Robina 1899 all in Galashiels, she died in 1902 ; then Alexander in 1902 and another Robina in 1904 both in Lasswade.
Mary Butler and Torrance Buchan then had children including a son called Torrance in 1915, who married Elizabeth McPake, who then also named a son Torrance in 1940 in Peebles. I think.
Any further information would be much appreciated concerning the Buchan side mainly

Death of a son for Torrance and Mary: George BUCHAN aged 70. Mother's maiden name Roseburgh. Died in Pebbles in 1984. Ref 801/ 36
There is a death in 1949 in Peebles for a 59yr old Torrance Buchan. Is this Thomas Snr.? Mary died the following year in 1950, also aged 59.
Their son Torrance born in 1915 died in 1943. His entry shows in Service Returns on SP. www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/2278418/buchan,-torrance/
Some details here on his wife Betha, www.tobarandualchais.co.uk/mcpakesisters including some details on the Buchan side.

Monica, do you have any information concerning the original contributors to this line of inquiry?
If, so can you either let me know or if you can make contact with them and ask to send me a PM, please

The best thing to do, if I can suggest, is for you to look at the old RootsChat post and contact the main related posters.
Just click on the button to the left under their avatar - the one that looks like a letter! This will take you to the PM service for them.
Not clear who were the contributors to the page on www.tobarandualchais.co.uk/mcpakesisters :-\
This gives you some contacts for the project www.tobarandualchais.co.uk/en/more

Hi Squirejay. William Roseburgh and Robina Butler’s son Robert Roseburgh 1891-1918 married Isabella Buchan 1891-1988 and they had three daughters, Robina (Ruby) 1912-1996 Isabella (Isa) and Agnes (Nan). As You know Robert died in WW1. though not blood related to this family, Ruby was step great granny to my children.

sorry for the length of time in getting back to you but I lost my wife shortly after you wrote that note.
I have been involved recently with other branches of the ROSEBURGH family, were you aware the Robert's sister married Isabella's brother?
That is Robert 1891 - 1918 sister Mary Butler Roseburgh (14 oct 1891 d 1950) married Torrance Buchan, b 21 Dec 1899 d 29 April 1949) who was brother to Isabella (1891 1988)
I have a lot more mainly about the Buchans as well as Roseburghs
