Hi guys, a bit far (geographically) for me, but would anyone be able to try and locate an obituary for me? I'll be honest, I don't have a huge amount of info though.
The name is O Mitchell, born in 1930's in Greenwich. I think her husband is still alive, so I won't post his name just in case. I have traced the home address to Romford, and she drops off the electoral role in 2013-2015. The husband is still there until 2018 according to 192.com.
I'm not 100% it's my O, but it's an unusual name for your neck of the woods - the man she is listed at the property with has the same middle initial as the person on the marriage in 1982 in Havering
I assume she has died around 2014, but I don't have any subscriptions to check deaths (assuming they're available at this time anyway).
Thank you for your time guys

Online GRO death indexes stop at around 2007. Have you discounted the 1957 Greenwich marriage :-\
-
Is her 1939 entry still redacted?
She may not have died - she could have gone into care
-
Re that 1957 marriage. There is a remarriage in 1977 Bromley matching the christian name and 1957 married name
-
I have just realised that I have looked at William Hughes (father of Olwyn) before for you ;D
Marriages Dec 1938
Hughes William J
Payne Dorothy D
Greenwich 1d 1890
It is possible that she is still living
-
It’s very probable she is still alive. Her first husband remarried in 1998 Bromley which is where I found the 1977 remarriage
No death for her under 2nd married name
-
2nd husband was a lot older - born 1920 and died 1991 Greenwich
-
Possible death for second husband in 1991 Greenwich reg district giving a date of birth as 1920.
There is a possible match on electoral registers in Erith 2002 for O. That was the time we could all opt out of appearing on the online registers.
Posted after getting red message ;D

Strange - 2 births - 1937 and 1946 - same name and mmn and same RD??
Could the 1982 marriage you refer to be the person born 1955??

Ah typical. Thank you all. Trying to do this in work and making beginners errors. Will look at this with fresh eyes tomorrow and see where I went wrong. I used to be good at this tree malarky :-[
