Title: WA Probate records ?
Post by: emilypos on Friday 12 October 18 07:12 BST (UK)
How do I find out please,  if someone left a will in WA ? and if he did, how to get copy ?  Google says a personal search of  card indexes. WA archives seem to cut out at 1947. Alas I live near Sydney. Person I am interested in was the Rev Alan Leslie WHITEHORN , late of Nedlands , d 17 Oct 1968
Many Thanks

Hi Marg,
Here are the contact details for W.A. State Archives http://www.sro.wa.gov.au/about-us/contact-details.   Perhaps it is worth sending an e-mail and asking them directly.

Hi All,

Last time I got a WA Probate I had to go to the Supreme Court of WA not the Archives.  Always good to remember that less than 50% of Wills need a Probate.
