Title: Looking for Frampton /Nutman Berkshire
Post by: girlstitcher on Wednesday 10 October 18 10:46 BST (UK)
Hello to everyone
I know it is such a long shot.....a friend has asked about her late mothers family as she knows nothing about them apart from her mother was born in Windsor Dec 1/4 1924 her name was Winifred...
I have found her birth info and and a marraige for her.
Her father was Frampton and the mother was Nutman

My friend is looking for any ancestors on her mothers side....
I just need someone to point me in the right direction as I am used to researching
All the best and thanks in anticipation
Yvonne

I think your friend needs to purchase her mother's birth certificate in order to confirm the details.  I suggest this as I cannot readily see a marriage entry in England and Wales for Frampton and Nutman - a possible reason is that Nutman is her birth surname, but not the surname she married under.  I have an instance where there is a marriage between Archbell and Ridehalgh, but the birth entry for their daughter shows a maiden name of Ashworth (Annie Ashworth initially married Thomas Ridehalgh who was killed in WW1).

Just a thought!

Is e the Birth Reg for Winifred and a Twin Brother I presume 1924. + a possible sibling 1929.

I cant see a Frampton/Nutman Marriage.
As children born post WW1, ? Nutman may been married before so Nutman her maiden name but married ? Frampton under another surname.

I've submitted a correction to FreeBMD for Nutman.  :)  Ancestry have mis-transcribed Oswald as Cswald  :)
