Could anyone please give me any more details about an entry in the Police Gazette 10 May 1918 referring to Arthur Frederick Flatman/Collinson age 43 or indeed any other info. An entry on 21 May 1918 in the same Police Gazette seems to suggest a sentencing?
Again many thanks

There do seem to be quite a few references to him in the papers (from British Newspaper Archives)

Thanks for that very helpful - it helps to reinforce the thought that he was disinherited by his mother for misdemeanours associated with gambling debts.
If there are any other incidents of court appearances I would be grateful for details.
