Title: Confirmation Record - German
Post by: Lyrael on Sunday 23 September 18 03:41 BST (UK)
Hi Everyone,

Anyone able to read this confirmation record for my ancestor, August Seyfert? It's in German... about 1860s. Number 18 on the list.  The records are accessible to everyone so I'm posting the link. I also posted the a cropped picture of the record and of the column header for clarification.

I know: "August Seyfert"  and "Christian Seyfert" (father I guess) and that's pretty much all I can read.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!

I should say the record is from Roshischtsche, Ukraine (Germans from Russia)

Me again.

After reading the marriage certificate of August Seyffert in 1876 i must correct my transcription of the Fathers occupation. Molkermeister is not correct, it reads Walkermeister

A Walker worked in a mill and made wollen clothing

Sorry
