Once again I am returning to the Lemon Family of Dungannon Co Tyrone.
I have located with Rootschat help Wm. James Lemon marriage to Marg Mcateer 1878 ,Drumglass Parish Dungannon.
From the marriage I note Father of Wm. James as William Lemon ,farmer. This is the individual i have no family info on. I have looked to PRONI to ask for Birth Certificate of Wm James but a mother's name is required. Any suggestions?
I have looked at Irish Geneology-William Lemon is a common name .
Family Search.org presents the same issues
i have looked at the parish records for the Drumglass on line. Difficult to read.
Any direction is welcome.
thanks virsonlia

Have you found Wm. James Lemon in 1901 or 1911 census?

?
He was Full Age when he Married so why would he have a Birth Cert?
Have you not looked at

I should have included all that I know.
William James Lemon born 1852 died 1891. I have looked in the census for related family info.
New at this research, I thought a Birth Certificate for Wm James 1852 would provide not just father but a mother's first name and perhaps a place.
thanks for the response which in itself is a tool to improve my ability to communicate.

birth certs started in 1864 so you would need church baptism records. The marriage seems to be in a Presbyterian church - second, Dungannon
-
Well they weren't RC and you now know when non-RC Marriage Reg starts......
so have you tried looking for father's Marriage in the time frame years?

Hallmark, this is where I draw a blank. I have looked at civilrecords.irish genealogy and found 16 results.
Using parameters Wm Lemon- marriage-1840/1860 ,Dungannon does not show up.I am not up on my geography to make an informed choice.

I know this info.
Margaret head of household-her husband was Wm. James died 1891. This lady was my gr. gr grandmother. Daughter Mary Jane, my gr grandmother.
It is Margaret's husband William James that I am stuck on Iam thinking his baptism might give me a clue about his father William

I withdraw. You are correct that time is important and should not be wasted.
