Can anybody help me locate Bridge Street, Mile End, Bow, London?
I am looking for the photographic studio of Victor Beadel, New Gimes Studio, 142 Bridge Street, Mile End, Bow, London. (The largest studio in the East End).
He appears in directories from 1901 until 1930, also as Photographic Materials Dealer.
Map if possible, also any newspaper advertisements for him at this address.
Thanks for your assistance

There was a Bridge Street in E1 and E3 that was renamed as Solebay Street?
The name change took place between 1929 and 1945.
See: https://www.maps.thehunthouse.com/Streets/Old_to_New_London_Street_Name_Changes.htm
There is a reference at TNA to 5 Solebay Street (previously 5 Bridge Street), Mile End ;D

You can scroll in and out and move the map around.
Added: Part of the street has gone and the rest now looks like it is called Hamlets Way.
If you look at the description of the enumeration district on the census (page 1) you might be able to get an idea whereabouts on Bridge St no 142 was.

There appears to be a footpath at the Western end of Hamlets Way - which crosses the Regents Canal and then leads to Solebay Street! ;D

So it does. I hadn't looked that far west. It's quite a long road.
The description of the enumeration district mentions Burdett Road and Bow Common Lane and Eric Street, so the location of 142 would seem to be towards the eastern end of Bridge Street. Somewhere. :)

Thanks for this information.
His studio appears to have been near Albion Street and Maplin Street

I have been into the shop, which became a Florists, run by Mrs Florence Beadel and was there until the mid-1960s. They served the local community, particularly weddings and funerals; the shop was immediately opposite the gates to Tower Hamlets (Bow) cemetery on the corner of (now) Hamlets Way and Southern Grove.
