Does there happen to be any history on the Powell cottages ;Stanwell; Staines I think Spout Lane ? and are they still there today.? thanks Owen ; cold ausieland

Powells Cottages are in Long Lane and are still standing. I doubt you will get any history on them though. If you are looking for a picture of them now they can be seen on online maps, they are a row of 4 cottages next to the junction of Long Lane /Short Lane and opposite the recreation ground.
Spout Lane is at the other end of Stanwell, virtually opposite Heathrows terminal 5 ;)

are you looking into family who lived there at some time ? My mums family go back 6 generations in the village .if you like i could walk over there & get a photo for you .

Online maps have a good photo Jane :D. They have recently built more houses between Powell’s Cotts and the junction Long / Short Lane.
