Title: Where is Edward and Keturah Kitts/Kitto née Ward of Algoma Ontario 1872
Post by: mwkelly on Tuesday 10 July 18 09:16 BST (UK)
This couple have disappeared of the face of the earth? Keturah came out to Ontario with her parents John and Mary Ward in 1866 on the SS. Peruvian no.7 Keturah appears in the 1871 Ontario census at Bruce Mines living with her parents and siblings. Next source is her marriage to Edward Kitto 8 June 1872 at Bruce Mines, Algoma. After that there no more info. No births of children or deaths of Edward or Keturah. Where have they gone..... Goggled the kitto name and Keturah but no positive leads so far. Welcome any help

Thank you
Murray

Yes thats right, just not sure where two now. Could the marriage be annulled? Maybe Keturah left and came back to the UK or else where ... frustrating

Not Edward Kitto, however a Richard Kitto died Ironwood Michigan 9 June 1913 age 81 Widowed, his occupation Mine Ca?.cannot make out the writing.
His parents are Edward Kitto and Jane Cornish.

Edward' parents are Edward and Jane from the marriage entry, so did he have a brother Richard and could they have gone to Michigan?

A tree on ancestry puts Katurah' death circa 1889 but nothing to prove it.

EDITED corrected the date of death, my typing error.

Could Jane wife of Edward have a different maiden name? If they were from Cornwall England, could the informant of his death have muddled it as Richard would have said he was Cornish originally.
