Title: Marriage from 1738
Post by: MacGrigor on Wednesday 04 July 18 12:14 BST (UK)
Hello,

Here it is on FreeREG:

https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_records/5817e4a9e93790eb7fc071e8?search_id=5b3cabc14325a6539a6937df&ucf=false

Can anyone see the actual record? Surely 'Hoppee' isn't a real surname.

Thanks,

Adam

There was a Maria Hippoe baptised in Great Staughton, 15 Miles Away, on 15 Jul 1694.

The same baptism is also recorded as Hippal and seems to be a variation of Hipwell.

There are later records of the name in Little Paxton, about 9 miles from Great Gransden.

That's certainly possible. Thanks!
