I have Fairview Road Wicklow on a 1946 wedding certificate
it's the residence of the groom. Does this road still exist?
The groom's father gives his profession as Sweeper not sure if this would be Chimney or Road - if it was a business it may have operated from this address. Who would l need to contact in Wicklow
Thanks for any help

Hi, Fairview road was built mid 1930s. It is now called Kilmantin Road. A sweeper was usually a chimney sweeper, regards Maeve.

Hi Murrell, 3 roads were built in the mid 1930s. Fairview Road, Glenview Road and St Laurence's Road. Locally called the 'bottom, middle and top road' Fairview is now called Kilmantin Road. A sweeper was a chimney cleaner. Regards Maeve
