Title: Barrow-in Furness, burials

I am trying to locate the graves of James Rimmer d.1892 and his wife Jane d.1898. They were living at 116 Buccleuch ST Barrow in 1891. Can anyone help please with finding where they are buried?

Any idea if contacting the cemetery itself would be worthwhile to find plot numbers?

Sorry, I have no idea.  It is always worth trying though as you have the burial dates.  :)

Yes contact the cemetery officer, they helped me some years ago to trace family plots

Thank you elzabels and Palladium. I am going to contact the cemetery and the link to gravestonephotos is great. As you say no Rimmers in Barrow but I am playing with other family surnames just to see 😀

If there is someone in the gatehouse when you phone they are very nice people
otherwise try Barrow in Furness archives which is in Ramsden Square and ask them if they can help you,

they also have a search facility putting in the name Rimmer comes up with 82 hits so might be worth having a look

If you have Microsoft office  you can download all the burials and monumental inscriptions for Barrow in furness cemetry 1901 to 1960,sorry not much help with this particular request,
