Title: Diamond clan, Co. Sligo

I’m a direct descendant of the eranagh Diamond clan of Erganagh, Kilrea Co. Derry, where my family still resides.   I found listings for Diamonds in Co. Sligo and my research, albeit brief, suggests the Sligo clan is descended from the Co. Derry clan.   
If anyone can either confirm or dispel this I’d be grateful.

You can research them with the likes of  C Reg Birth, Marriage and Death results for Diamond of Sligo

Also the 1901 and 1911 Census, see where all the Derry born ones are etc...

Any like the father in RIC on this one can not be native of Sligo...

So check for marriage, see where he was from.... etc
