Title: Deciphering names
Post by: felixlee on Saturday 02 June 18 17:34 BST (UK)
Can anyone help me decipher the names on this Irish baptism record, please? I think the child's name is James but other than that I'm not sure... Thanks!

A warm welcome to Rootschat.

As a general idea it can be useful to post a slightly larger snippet so we can see how letters are formed and to ensure that words at the end of lines are not accidentally clipped.

The first line: James of David Neild & Rose (Alen?)
The second line (which is probably godparents): James Neild & Mary (Dwyer?)

All the best
Philip

Or if this is from the RC parish registers which are free to view you can just post a link to the page or give the parish and date.
