Henry McKay and wife Mary (nee McMullan) immigrated to Scotland in the 1870s with their children James, Archibald, Teresa and Bridget. Henry and Mary would have been born around 1812 and the children between 1843 and 1860. In a Scottish census in 1891, one of the children had the birth place as Antrim Ireland. All the others just had Ireland. Henry’s parents were Archibald and Jane (nee McKenna) and were farmers. I don’t know if Antrim refers to the county or the town. I have not been able to find births or marriages for any of the above through RoutesIreland or Familysearch. I did find a marriage of John McKay to Mary McMullan at Ahoghill in 1851. These may be relatives. My father was born in Scotland a Catholic so I presume my Irish ancestors would also be Catholic.
I hope you can help. :)

This is my first experience with RootsChat and I am amazed at the quick response. Thankyou Claire (sparkle26) and to Sinann. I was not aware of a Francis. Would there be a death record for him?
Thankyou again
