I have a Samuel Brown (c1796 - 1853) who appears to have lived in Chatteris for most of his life, but has children whose birthplaces are given variously as Somersham, Chatteris, and one as Huntingdon in different census returns. I'm struggling to find any online parish register entries for Somersham to see if any childen were baptised there. If they weren't baptised there, where might they have been? I know Chatteris is very close to Somersham, but I'm also having problems tracking down PRs for Chatteris as well. The family also seem to have links with Chesterton.
On 9 April 1834 in Chatteris, Samuel married Louisa Sewell (3/5/1812 - 7/2/1890), who was baptised in Chatteris on 11/3/1813. They seem possibly to have had 13 children between 1835 and 1851. GRO birth entries with SEWELL as mother's maiden name have been found where shown.
Frances Ann 1835, Somersham; Birth year calculated from census records
Louisa 1836, Somersham; Birth date calculated from 1841 census (HO107; Piece: 449; Book: 1; Civil Parish: Somersham; County: Huntingdonshire; Enumeration District: 2; Folio: 28; Page: 20; Line: 4. Frances and Sarah appear in the same entry. The relationship to the head of household is not clear, and born in the county foir all three is given as no, possibly indicating that Somersham was not their birthplace.)
Sarah 1837, Somersham; GRO Reference: 1837 S Quarter in ST IVES Volume 14 Page 147
Samuel 1839, Huntingdon; GRO Reference: 1839 M Quarter in NORTH WITCHFORD UNION Volume 14 Page 118
Emma 1840, Chatteris; No birth GRO entry yet found
Julia 1841, Chatteris; No birth GRO entry yet found
Henry 1842, Somersham; No birth GRO entry yet found
Alice 1845, Chatteris; No birth GRO entry yet found
John 1848, Chatteris; 1846 M Quarter in NORTH WITCHFORD UNION Volume 14 Page 129, presumed to have died on or before 1849
Mary 1847, Chatteris; 1847 M Quarter in NORTH WITCHFORD UNION Volume 14 Page 137, died - 1874
Thomas 1848, Chatteris presumed died same year; 1848 S Quarter in NORTH WITCHFORD UNION Volume 14 Page 129
John 1849, Chatteris; 1849 D Quarter in NORTH WITCHFORD UNION Volume 14 Page 119
Thomas 1851, Chatteris; 1851 M Quarter in NORTH WITCHFORD UNION Volume 14 Page 143
I'd like to try and find baptisms for these children to confirm that I have the correct parents before starting to buy certificates. Where's the best place to look? I've tried Ancestry, FindMyPast and Familysearch, but starting to run out of ideas :(

Chatteris baptisms are on familysearch but since there are none for children of Samuel and Louisa I would suggest that maybe the family were non-conformist and baptised in a church whose records are not available online.
I believe that baptisms for Somersham are not available online and have to be viewed at Huntingdon Records Office. (However, if the family were indeed non-conformist they won't have been baptised there).

Thanks Annette
Since posting my original message I've found the IGI batches for Chatteris on the Archersoft site, but sadly with no real result, and a trip to Huntingdon isn't on, at least for the forseeable future :( . Then, they could be non-conformists - hadn't considered that :'( Oy Vay, just another brick wall to overcome.

Not what you want to hear, but baptisms for Somersham are now on FindMyPast but none of the baptisms you seek are there. I still feel the family must be non-conformist since baptisms can't be found for any of them and no doubt at a place whose records are not available online.

Thank you both for your response.
Marriage took place in Somersham,sorry.
I had two Josephs but i suspect there is only one and have now combined them.
