I have an idea of what this POB reads but wondered what the rest of you think?
3rd line, Yorkshire ?
Here is a link to the whole image on ancestry

The link leads to a sign in page. Can you tell us his name, year of birth and who he is living with or census reference numbers if known please?
Added: George Crossland in the 1851 census? There are quite a few of them. Who is your George with in 1851?
-
It looks like the place name might end in _ _ _ _stanton? :-\
-
Thank you for the input Ruskie.
The 1851 census reference is HO107 2237
My George Crossland (71yrs) is with wife Mary (64yrs) and son William (29yrs)
-
Thurstonland? (spelling looks like Furstonland)
-
Sorry Cristeen, I still can't find them. I must be doing something wrong. :(
I have to sign off now so I hope someone else steps in to help. :)

Good thinking arthurk. Enumerator definitely strays into last column with place names.
George Crossland baptisms 1775 - 1785 on family search in Yorkshire
1777 Rotherham parents John/Hannah; 1779 Ecclesfield mother Ann; 1780 Penistone father Mattw; 1782 Handsworth father Robert.
-
I had wondered about Penistone ???
-
Hunstanton, I think, although that hardly fits with Yorkshire.
-
Cumberworth, where the son William was born, is quite close to Thurstonland.
(If anyone wants to look for them at FindMyPast, they've been indexed as Cuslone.)
-
arthurk, Thurstonland would make sense, George's first wife, Martha Brook was baptised at Kirkburton which is also close by. Thank you
