Hello,
I would appreciate any information on my Cooper family line and any subsequent connections in the Channel Islands. James Seward Cooper was born 1839 Steeple, Dorset and served in the Navy during the 1857 China War, I have read somewhere that perhaps Strand House number 6 is where he lived in 1881. His wife Mary Gibbons and children Violet and Edward, regards Jason

Looks like they had 3 children in ST PIERRE PORT,GUERNSEY.
Emma Mary Cooper. 24 Jul 1866.
Fanny Georgina Cooper. 24 Dec 1867.
Henry Seaward Cooper. 06 Aug 1873.
James Seaward Cooper wife Emma Boure/Bonn/Bohn

Familysearch 1881- St Peter Port - census has his wife as Emma M Cooper and there is a daughter by the same name.

Here he is on the 1851 and it has him born at Steeple, but residing Kimmeridge. Kimmeridge matches the 1881:
