Title: Pudsey Choral Society
Post by: Tra La La on Monday 26 February 18 14:47 GMT (UK)
Hello
Can anyone direct me to the archives of the Pudsey Choral Society?  The period of time that I am interested in is 1833-1865.
Many thanks in advance for any leads.

Pudsey and District Civic Society might be a better option.

Many thanks Nanny Jan and Calvery Lad.  I have tried the West Yorkshire Archive Service, but will certainly contact Pudsey Civic Society.
Happy hunting

Pudsey Library USED to have a good reference section when it was under the West Riding. Maybe there are some archives which have found their way to Wakefield (the old headquarters of the West Riding Library Service ?)

Hello Cir, many thanks for the tip. I will contact them at Wakefield.  Calverley Lad suggested Pudsey Civic Society and they responded very quickly.
1974 - not a good year.

Just to finish this enquiry, Pudsey Civic Society were very helpful.  They even sent me copies of documents and a report from the press.  Certainly a Gold Star Service.
