Title: Burial St Peters Congleton
Post by: mbee on Monday 19 February 18 19:34 GMT (UK)
I have a burial date of 25 Nov 1866 for my ancestor Thomas Hall.  Can anyone tell me where I can find out if there is a grave for him at St Peters

Well, there's obviously a grave for Thomas, but I assume you are asking whether there is a headstone for this grave  :-\

Have you tried contacting the church?

Thanks for the response, yes indeed I meant a headstone.  Many of my ancestors in other places did not have headstones and some were in unmarked pauper graves.  In those cases records were not kept at the church and I had to find the local council and that was an area I know - but I dont know Congleton so if they are kept at the church there, I will get in touch with them thanks

Looks like you will need to contact Cheshire Records Office
