Title: Need some help in finding Oldcoates

Hello,

I need some help in finding where Oldcoates is in Nottinghamshire. Oldcoates is the birth place of my grandmother but I'm having a litle trouble locating it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know the area at all, but according to Genuki and to this website

it is located in Harworth Parish.

It's 12-15 miles east of Sheffield, 6 miles north of Worksop.

Hi I am a member of "Doncaster Family History Society" & they have the parish reigsters for Harworth & Oldcoats.

Hi, oldcoates is just north of Langold on the a60 road that runs from worksop to doncaster.

... and it's only about a mile west of where I'm sitting right at this moment. Quite small, very rural. History goes back to the twelfth century.

If you need any current photos, let me know and then next time I go into Oldcotes (modern spelling) I'll see what I can do.
