Hi,
I've been trying to expand on my knowledge of the family of on of my ancestors, Betty Greenough/Greenhough, baptised 10 November at Wibsey Chapel, Wibsey. Her father was Joseph of Wibsey, a miner/collier, and she married one John Bateman in Bradford in 1816. On Ancestry I have found various others of that surname (spelt Greenough & Greenhough interchangeably), born in Wibsey in the 1780s & 1790s, who could be her siblings (David, James, Peter, etc). Their father is also a miner called Joseph but unlike with Betty's bap record, his abode is given as Carr Lane. I know that this address is a mile or so away from Wibsey, but wondered if there was anyone out there who may be able to verify if Betty and the rest might be siblings??
Any info would be appreciated,
Chris

Only corroborating evidence might be a will where it mentions Betty being a sister.
Not esecially likley.
You didn't actually give a birth year for betty, nor years/parent(s) /addresses for the others.
Listing the baptisms in details in Date order would help throw up anomalies

Hi,
I think that Betty was born in 1791 - she was baptised 10 Nov 1791 at Wibsey Chapel.
Other Greenoughs/Greenhoughs born in Wibsey with a father called Joseph, a miner/collier, are -
Hannah bap 26 Jan 1783 Wibsey
John bap 23 Jan 1785 Wibsey
David bap 4 April 1787 Wibsey
James bap 14 June 1789 Wibsey
Mary bap 4 Feb 1794 Wibsey
Joseph bap 30 Aug 1795 Wibsey
I think that the parents were Joseph Greenough/Greenhough and Mary Dean
Hope this is of some use, and thank you,
Chris
